HSE Emergency First Aid at Work Course

A Health & Safety Executive recognised course that meets the requirements of the First Aid Regulations 1981, which puts a statutory duty on every employer to provide as a minimum an "Appointed Person" at all times. The course aims to educate Delegates in the actions and treatments that can be given in the vital 10 - 20 minutes before an ambulance arrives.

 


COURSE FORMAT & DURATION

A six hour course consisting of both theory and practical elements. Delegates may prefer to wear trousers due to the practical training elements which need to be carried out on the floor.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
On completion of the course Delegates will be able to
•    Manage an Incident
•    Perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
•    Care for an Unconscious Patient
•    Understand the Legal Requirements of Record Keeping & Accident Reporting
•    Treat Bleeding, Burns & Scalds, Heart Attacks and much more

COURSE OUTCOMES
The course will equip Delegates with the skills and knowledge to be able to...
•    Apply techniques to take charge in an emergency, accident or sudden illness situation within the workplace
•    Give them confidence in the practical techniques of First Aid
